JSS Mahavidyapeetha

It was during the times of the late Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, the 23rd pontiff, greater importance and attention was given for eradicating illiteracy, ignorance and poverty of the masses. The J.S.S. Mahavidyapeetha that was established in 1954 is now lead under the spiritual guidance of the present pontiff, His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji. He is constantly striving to widen its area of service to the society at large. Consequently the Mahavidyapeetha's educational services range over a wide spectrum of studies like, Engineering, Medicine, Dental, Pharmacy, Arts, Science, Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences etc. Added to this, hundreds of Educational Institutions, schools for the deaf and dumb and for the physically handicapped are functioning. Hospitals and health centers have been taking the advanced health services to the doorsteps of the poor and needy.
